The Replacement Pressure Check Point assembly consists of the small cap and inner grommet that fit the tiny port connections on the 2" and 3" T and T-S plastic filters. This connection point is often used to install pressure gauges on the inlet and outlet sides of the filter. If you do not want to install gauges permanently then these caps are necessary to close off the ports. See item #4 in the Amiad parts diagram.
