Let me begin this by saying I'm not a microscope expert! My father used to work for a hospital, and I believe this was purchased at one of the employee auctions held there however many years ago. and it's sat in a plastic case ever since. To test it, I examined a specimen of hair using four of the 5 lenses below -- I wasn't able to see much of anything using the 5th objective/lens, but my vague understanding is that one needs immersion oil to function properly. This will be shipped with an incredible amount of care. I will more or less be treating it like a CRT Television, whereas it will be double-boxed with a buffer between the internal and external box to protect it from shock damage in transit.
