BEWARE OF WHEEL SETS WHICH ARE DISHED: SUCH WHEELS CANNOT BE REVERSED FROM TIME TO TIME TO PREVENT UNEVEN WEAR, ESPECIALLY ON THE TRACKING & DRIVE WHEELS. THEY ALSO USE SHORTER, LESS STABLE AXLES. A set of: Two, 2" diameter precision turned aluminum idler wheels with sealed bearings. One, 3" diameter precision turned aluminum tracking wheel with sealed bearings. The wheel is 3" in diameter & crowned to ensure accurate belt tracking. (4" tracking wheels offer no advantage, they're heavy & soak up energy unnecessarily & cheap hand turned wheels have a v-cut, no crown. V-cuts wear away very quickly & are very hard on belts). For DIY style grinders like GIB, EERF, NO WELD etc. Also work well on any professionally manufactured 2x72" belt grinder. The wheels are 2-1/4" wide to comfortably accept any commercial 2" wide grinding belt. Bore of the bearings is 1/2" so you can use any 1/2" diameter bolt as an axle. The bearings are easily replaceable when worn. We use these wheels on the top quality grinders & flat plattens that we manufacture & our design has been thoroughly tested to withstand even the harshest knifemaking environments! We do not paint, polish or anodize our wheels as this just adds cost & comes off basically on your first use.
