Musicians would send me their pedals and the kit for the mod. It was down right popular :)There was the bass contour mod (nice).Then there's the 3-way toggle switch for different clipping options. This gave you the option of the original 1N60P diodes, open diodes, and the original Klon Centaur D9E Russian Germanium diodes. The issue I had (and I'm sure there are many others) you really can't hear a difference in the the 1N60P's and the D9E's or other germanium diodes as well. So, what good is that? I guess it was a mod for "purists." So I decided to tweak these a little differently :) We drill and install the bass contour mod, and a 3-way toggle for clipping. But this one let's you choose from the D9 Russian germanium diodes for the purists, open clipping (big push), and for the 3rd setting I use silicon diodes.
