It is similar to Loctite thread locking liquid. I have been told that this is Loctite made under license in Sweden but I can't verify this and I don't want to claim anything about it that I can't prove but I will say that if it was distributed for use by Volvo it has to be high quality. Here's the back story. When Volvo had a problem with the retaining nuts coming loose on the fan for the A/C condenser on their 700 series vehicles they had a service action where all the cars were returned to the dealer for replacement nuts that were locked in place using this product. The word was that Loctite was considered a hazardous substance by the Swedish unions so it was not applied at the factory when the vehicles were built. There were no issues with the parts after the thread locker was applied.
