While most conventional wah-wah pedals utilize a single peak point to achieve their effects, Twin Peaks doubles down on this sound by utilizing two peak points, one at a higher frequency and one at a lower frequency. This is accomplished by using a dual inductor circuit. Higher frequencies provide a sweepable range similar to most conventional wah pedals. The lower frequency is closer to the frequencies commonly found in modified or specially made wah-wah pedals: turning the BALANCE control counterclockwise emphasizes the high-frequency peaks, while turning it clockwise ? to emphasize low-frequency peaks. TONE mode switch The TONE mode switch selects the wah sweep frequency range from HIGH or LOW. HIGH: The high-frequency resonance sweeps from 670Hz to 3kHz, which is a higher range than a typical wah-wah pedal. Because of this, the tone may be too bright, so we recommend adjusting the pedal's balance and level controls, or adjusting the guitar's tone controls to soften some of the high frequencies. The low frequency resonance sweeps from 300Hz to 1kHz, which is a slightly lower range than that of a traditional wah-wah pedal. LOW: Higher frequency resonance sweeps from 440Hz to 2kHz. This range covers the range typically used by conventional wah-wah pedals. The lower frequency resonance varies from 220Hz to 750Hz.
