The U.S. Army replaced the Pershing 1A with the in 1983 while the German Air Force retained Pershing 1A until all Pershings were eliminated in 1991. Most of the Pershing 1A's were deployed in Germany to deter an incursion by the Soviet Union. Once assembled, this impressive kit measures 40.9 inches and weighs just 17.6 ounces.
