(3 Pack) Pete Rickard's HD367 Liquid Logwood Trap Dye 4oz Liquid Logwood is a natural wood dye that reacts with steel to darken it. A 4 ounce bottle treats 1-3 dozen traps.Natural Wood Dye Concentrate. Instructions: Prepare traps by boiling in a strong detergent solution so that all traces of oil, grease, wax and dirt are removed. Rinse well with water. Hang traps outside for a few days until a light coat of surface rust develops. Mix the 4 oz. of Trap Dye into 3 gallons of very hot water. Place nail between jaws and dip traps in solution for a few minutes (10-45 minutes). Hang and let dry. If a darker coating is desired, dip again. Predator trappers must also wax their traps for best results.
