They are machined from solid aluminum and then anodized. The design of these mounts is unique in that the scope is brought back to the pivot point of the gun so that the dot is not lost between shots. They also bring the scope down very close to the slide. The blast shield helps keep the lens clean.Left side mount leaves nothing to interfere with ejection.Fits 1911 and 2011 frames. Requires drilling and tapping frame for 5-40 screws. Mounting screws included The mounts are available in clear and black. This listing is for the clear ones. There are also thumb rests available for these and will be listed separately.
