This is a kit to build a plugin extender board for Tektronix 7000 series equipment for troubleshooting purposes. It comes with a PCB and a 76 position connector. Assembly is very simple. Bend the connector pins in slightly, slide it on to the PCB, and solder. This does not seat as firmly as a Tektronix brand extender because there is no plugin chassis to hold it securely in place. Plugins being worked on should be propped up while outside the mainframe as shown in the images. Care should be taken to ensure the plugin does not move and unseat the extender board from the mainframe. This is not as sturdy as an original Tek extender (it is also not $500).
