Our understanding is there were less than '50' proto-types of each device officially made for each level (Basic, Senior, & Master). This device is further attached to a foreign made green beret, dated '5/88' and EU sized '59' (we have no idea if the beret is also original; however, the initial plan of the insignia was started in the late 70's and carried on through the early/mid 80's, which would coincide with the date of the beret. ).
