The balanced diaphragm MK11 delivers effortless airflow unaffected by depth, tank pressure or breathing rate. The compact S270 provides smooth breathing performance in a bulletproof anti-scratch design that's able to handle years of hard use. The Mk11 first stage regulator is the perfect choice for the recreational diver who wants the advantage of a diaphragm first stage for use in temperate waters. Diaphragm-based first stages are environmentally sealed so that water cannot enter the inner mechanism. Bearing in mind that regulators generate temperatures as low as 22-degrees F (-5.5-degrees C) due to the incredibly fast-moving air and the pressure drop involved, it is imperative that sensitive moving metal parts avoid contact with extremely cold water or debris. Therefore, diaphragm first stages have been the favored choice of cold-water diver's and those working in contaminated or muddy water. Scubapro diaphragm first stages feature balanced technology and are packed with patented features resulting in ultra-fast flow to the second stage on demand and a fantastic overall performance. The MK11 first stage's streamline body is constructed of machined marine-grade chromed brass. The MK11 has a balanced diaphragm to offer you peace of mind with its smooth breathing mechanisms and maximum performance that don't diminish as your tank's air pressure changes. This first stage comes standard with the Thermal Insulating System (TIS), which keeps your first stage from freezing up and malfunctioning in cold water conditions. Additionally, its over-balanced diaphragm first stage design gives you better breathing performance at greater depths. First stage regulator is equipped with two 7/16" threaded HP and four 3/8" threaded LP ports. Two of the LP ports are High Flow Ports (HFP) for easier breathing on demanding dives. Lightweight S270 casing is made of a fiberglass-reinforced nylon core and a special polyurethane (PU) outer layer, is extremely durable plus helps reduce jaw fatigue and improves diving comfort. Regulator second stage has a techno polymer plastic barrel with a metal thread and a balanced valve that helps save weight and provides a surface that ice crystals can't grab onto when diving in extreme cold water. Air-balanced valve smooths out the inhalation effort when diving at varying depths and supply pressures. Dive/predive switch is easy to use even wearing thick gloves. Compact and efficient exhaust tee minimizes exhalation effort. Second stage includes a reusable mouthpiece clamp and 3/8" threaded LP hose.
