The Sensor Adapter allows the photographer to use the 283 flash on a bracket and place the sensor on camera for better lighting and proper flash control. One of at least three versions on Vivitar’s Sensor Adapter theme, this one has a coiled cable that extends much farther than the 11in/28cm straight version. This one measures 32in/81.3cm coiled! To use this device simply: 1- mount camera on flash bracket 2 - remove the adjustable sensor from the Vivitar 283 3 - place the sensor in the shoe mount housing of the Sensor Adapter and insert it into the camera’s hotshoe 4 - plug the cable into the Sensor connection of the flash 5 - mount flash on bracket and shoot The process is extremely simple and yields spectacular results.
